Carrier napping

Hi.  I posted this yesterday, so I'm sorry if you've already responded to this, but my post was lost when they changed the format back.

I just ordered an Ergo carrier.  Will my DS (he's 1 yr/18 lbs) be able to nap in it when I wear him on my back or would I need to switch him to a front carry for that?  I plan to do some hiking in it. TIA!

    I believe the ergo has a hood on it. You would want to put the hood up so he doesn't accidentally flop his head back.
