Dog Bite!

Im  7 weeks my neighbors just  bit me. The dog bit me over my shirt, its a small bite but did break some skin and my arm was bleeding a little.

It honestly wouldnt be a big deal if I wasnt prego, but Im scared for the baby. I want togo to the emergency room, but I dont know if Iwould be over reacting??

    If the dog is current on shots, it probably isn't a big deal. Ask your neighbor. I would wash it and put some Neosporin (or something) on it. Watch it for a few days. If it gets red or hurts (infection), then I would call your doctor. Of course, if you are really concerned about it, you could call your OB and explain the situation. She could advise you from there!

    Thanks Chica! I ended up going to an emergency clinic in the area, the dog did have all its shots :) so the doctor gave me some antibiotics (Type B) and recommended a tetanus vaccination... The bite is still healing.
