AW:First Haircut (Update PIP)

DS had his first haircut today and did amazing! Not a single tear and he was even ok with the electric clippers. I got a hard time from certain family members for cutting his curly hair but it was just entirely to hot. Every time he would come out of his car seat or stroller his head was all sweaty.

Also everyone was telling me that I needed to keep a lock of his hair? My mom also said that she held onto mine and my brother's baby teeth for years. So just out of curiosity how many of you ladies will be keeping these types of things? I surprisingly feel no sort of emotions about his hair, teeth, etc. I took pictures of today but I really don't know about keeping a lock of his hair. Am I the only one?

Aw, way to go, DS! And I totally can't blame you. DD is a sweaty mess when I get her out of her carseat most days, even when we keep the AC on. When we cut her hair - which probably won't be for a long time, because, I JUST CAN'T - I probably will keep a lock of it. But I'm super sentimental and silly about that kind of stuff.

Awww, the curls are gone! See, I'm a real sappy sort, so I will definitely be keeping a lock of B's hair when ever he gets his first haircut. I'm sure that won't be for a while, because like Russalka said, I just can't yet. B will be 5 months on Saturday but has a TON of hair. DH wants to cut it, but I am laying down the mommy law. It just ain't happening any time soon!

Can we get a PIP of his spiffy new 'do?

He is SUCH a cutie! Maybe I'm just partial because he has the same name as my little guy.... But SO adorable! Love the haircut! And he has the most adorable smile!

So cute! I'm glad he did so well too. I don't think I'll be keeping any hair or teeth. I remember finding my teeth that my mother saved. It was weird... And she never put it in a book or anything, so it was just a mini bag of teeth. I don't have a baby book for DD yet, but if I did I would consider saving a lock of hair. But I would have to put it in the book immediately or I would totally forget and find a bag of hair years later.

He looks so grown up! I've always thought he looks older than he is though : I will probably keep a lock of G's hair. We got a silver brush and comb set from a family friend and there's also a small silver container for her "first curl". It's cute, but seems hard to store. Anyway. I saved DS' teeth and honestly...I've misplaced them over the years. We've moved and his Dad may have taken them when we parted ways? Lol, now that I think of it...keeping them seems gross. Now DH and I will have to have a convo about it tonight.
