When to start with a Jogging Stroller

So I bought a nice Schwinn Jogger and it says to not use until baby is 6 months old. I just want to start walking on a very smooth paved walking/ bike trail with baby and dog. I wouldn't jog with baby yet or go on rough trails. Did those of you with a Jogger wait the whole 6 months to put baby in it? Just curious...

    Did the jogger come with a car seat attachment? Can you purchase one? That is the only way it is safe for a child under 6 months. Their little necks aren't ready for the bumps, even the mild ones. If s/he is in the car seat they are more stable. 

    I started walking with DD in her travel system jogger the week she came home from the hospital, with our Lab.

    If you have the car seat adapter for the BOB, you can start fairly early. I started running on smooth, paved roads regularly with DD around 8 weeks.
