Midwife Recs?

I know this board is super slow, but I'm just throwing this out there in hopes of coming up with something.

Any recommendations for midwives in the Schuylkill county area? Or within an hour radius of Pottsville?

I'm having no luck with Google searches.

Re: Midwife Recs?

  • I dont know much about your area but maybe check with local hospitals?

Typically midwives are associated with local hospitals somehow in case their patients want/need to deliver in a hospital, so I would think that the hospitals have to know who they are!

  • The Reading Birth and Women's Center is in West Reading. There are 4 midwives there and they are all great. You have the option of giving birth in the birth center, at the Reading Medical Center (they have rights there), or at home (if you are within 45 min radius I believe). We used them for our 1st and now for our 2nd.

     Good luck!
