Speed crawler

LO has really taken off in learning to crawl. I put him down in one spot and next thing I know he is across the room pulling himself up.

Earlier tonight he was crawling around by the computer then zipped over to the stairs and started climbing. (don't worry, DH was right behind him)

DD was playing with him last week and showed him how to climb stairs. I helped him out tonight before DH got home.

We still don't have baby gates, and at this point, maybe we won't get any. We have a nice piece of wood I can decorate and use at the top of the stairs, but the way the bottom is curved, we could only put one on the 4th or 5th step up, so I think that might be more dangerous...

I guess I just needed to see my thoughts in print in front of me, so no real point, but if you have anything to add, thoughts, whatever...go ahead.

Oh, and he still blows bubbles in his milk. I'm so glad my boob doesn't inflate like a balloon.

K isn't crawling yet, but she is a speedy little thing going backwards and side to side.
As for bubbles, she is more into hissing and doing a Valley Girl clicking noise.

I know I'm in the minority but we never did gates. We taught DD1 to come down backwards around 10 months. DD2 is even more physical and has been climbing the stairs for a week or so always with us, so we will start the backwards lesson soon. Honestly, the kids in our Playgroup couldn't go up and down stairs, some until almost 2, because they were always blocked. I think it's safer to teach them. But we'll see if I change my mind if DD2 ever falls down the stairs.

He is so close! I keep thinking it's a matter of days, but I've been saying that for a few weeks now! He does love love love to stand and walk now. UGH.
