Re: 7/8: Weekly Accountability Check In!

  • I'm up 5 lbs which is probably mostly water weight but going from a daily exercise routine to nothing has really messed me up. I'm starting a new week and not looking back. My surgery site is healing pretty good but it's still hard to do some exercise. My almost 15 year old toy poodle started having seizures so I am stressed out but I have to think positive and do this for me!

I hope everyone had a great week.

  • Hey hey!

Glad you are healing well and sorry to hear about your pup. Hang in there and go kick that water retention to the curb.

I had a pretty good week. 2 runs, 1 fast walk and 1 JM dvd plus a couple of laps in the pool (I don't know how to swim slowly but swimming fast I only last 10 minutes!). True to the pregnancy stereotypes I have been going crazy for pickled everything but other than that and some cake on the weekend mostly clean eating. My goal is to have healthy weight gain - at 11 weeks and +2 pounds ok so far.

    30 weeks tomorrow, woohoo!!!

Dr. Appt last week and I'm only up about 15lbs. I had NO idea how much I would gain and put my scale away as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I figured I would continue healthy eating habits and working out as much as my body would allow.

Last weeks workouts didn't all happen as I had hoped, but this week is off to a great start. Ran 3 this morning then mowed the lawn ::1 acre with a push mower:: My goal for the rest of the week is Zumba tomorrow then 3 more cardio workouts with at least 2 of those running.

  • It sounds like people didn't let the holiday weekend stop them from getting back into it this week! Keep it up, ladies!

We were at a cabin in the middle of the woods last week, so I brought my GPS watch and my TRX and got a couple great workouts in. My husband and I hooked the TRX up to a tree outside our cabin and did a circuit workout after a 1 mile warmup jog for one of our days, and I ran and kayaked the other days. It was a great change of pace for this 31-week-pregnant mama!

This week I plan to run today, hoping not to melt in the hot, mid-afternoon sun, intending on 5 miles again. We'll see how that goes! I'll hit the gym tomorrow for leg day, Wednesday and Thursday will be upper body splits, followed by another 5 mile run on Friday and another upper body split on Saturday. I love trips and family time, but I also enjoy getting back into my routine and my gym!

    Have a great week ladies!

Sorry to hear about your toy poodle!

This week I got in 3 runs totaling 12 miles.  Didn't get to go to kickboxing on Thursday because it was closed due to the holiday.  However, I did get in one interval workout over the weekend to make up for it.

This week, I hope to get in between 12-15 miles again plus kickboxing and 1 resistance training day.  I am trying to treat each workout like it might be my last before my little girl arrives and I am unable to run for 4+ weeks!

  • Working out didn't happen at all last week.  We were really busy as a family between going to the pool and family time.  I tried to still eat well to counter it out. There were only 2 meals that didn't go as planned so that's not too bad.

This week I'm getting back on it.

  • Last week I hit the treadmill 5 days. Walking on the highest incline. Wanted to make it 6 days but that didn't happen. Back at it this week but can't walk as fast or on as high of an incline because it feels like I'm approaching labor! 38w3d now!
  • I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I am glad to hear that your recovery is going well.

I am on vacation this week. We rented a beach house. We've been walking along the beach and playing in the ocean. I've been fairly active. When I feel like I've been sitting outside too long, I play Cars with DS. We run around pretending to be Cars. I have been mindful to eat my calories rather than drink them. I have been eating worse than I would at home but being mindful of portions. I made sure to get in a few extra workouts last week before we left.
I hope everyone has a great week!

  • I'm a little late in the game posting this week, but I had a good week, so I wanted to share.  I've done almost three weeks of weight watchers now, and I've been biking or walking 30 minutes almost daily.  I'm down about 8 pounds (as of last weeks weigh in).  I'm feeling great, and the exercise in addition to weight watchers is new for me, and seems to really help.

I really enjoy reading all the updates, sounds like you ladies are all doing really well.  This board really inspires me to make my next, and probably final, pregnancy a healthy and fit one.  Thanks for the inspiration.
