I have been bf and using formula for supplementation. when I return to work (LO will be 3 mos) I plan to switch to exclusively formula. I'm worried about how LO will react to this change. How did everyone else's LO do with this change?
I'm switching to ff because my supply is low, so right now I'm doing 50/50. Next week I'm going to do 75% formula, 25% bm, then after that I'm going to do full formula.
Welcomed our baby boy Henry on March 15, 2013 (7 weeks early!)

I did something similar to this. I started doing formula every 3rd feed for a few days, then every other feed for a few days. By the start of the next week, I was doing 2 formula feeds to every breastfeeding session. I got it down so that I was only breast feeding for his middle of the night feed. I did this for a week, and then switched to all formula. This also helped me wind down my milk supply so that when I stopped all together, I wasn't so engorged! My boobs thanked me!!
What happens when LO is looking for the boob and you are no longer breastfeeding? I just worry- LO really enjoys BF- I think it soothes her. It just won't be practical or possible once I've returned to work.
