I have mine next week. What exactly does this entail? You go in and drink something disgusting, sit for an hour and then have blood drawn?

It's not gross per say, its like super sugary flat soda and then yes, sit for an hour and have a blood draw.

I did not find it disgusting. Like a lime otter pop. I had a choice between lime or orange. Super fancy doctors office FTW!

The office I go to is definitely NOT super fancy so I imagine I'll have to take what I get. It doesn't sound too bad though.

I had fruit punch flavor today. I think the fruit punch is way better than the orange but I've never had the lemon lime.

I had the orange for my one hour and lemon-lime for the 3 hour....thankfully both were served a little cold, so it ended up tasting more like flat Fanta both times

How much do you have to drink? I can't stomach those things so it should be very interesting for me when I have to do the test in a few weeks.

I'm not sure this will help. If your pancreas, liver, GI tract, etc. secretes the correct amount of insulin...it will; if it doesn't, it won't matter. I'm sure you will be fine.

On a side note: birthday cake Oreos...two thumbs up!

At my doctor's office they gave me the stuff ahead of time. I just have to drink it at a certain time at home and make sure I get to the office 45 minutes later and then I go into the lab and get my blood drawn. So, I don't have to sit in a boring office. Yeah! It is first thing in the morning so as long as I remember to drink it on time I am good.

I have mine tomorrow but mine is a 2 hour test and they draw blood 3 times over the 2 hours. I'm not looking forward to this
