Donating to a charity **siggy warning

Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if a charity or organization is legit? For years I have been trying to find a place to make donations to in honor of Jack, that does research on the heart defect he had. I found one, but I hate to send money to this place only to find out I am actually donating money to cover someone else's medical bills. For what it's worth, the site is https://www.ebsteinsanomaly.org/.

  • You should be able to look them up at guidestar.com. It gives info about legit 501c3s. If they are not registered as a 501c3, they might not be on guidestar.
