LO just turned one and our naptimes used to be great, now not so much. If he takes a morning nap its after an hour or so of playing in the crib and babbling to himself while banging the walls. Or he won't go down at all. His afternoon nap seems to be running smoother, but they are not without delays. He is always napping in the afternoon, but it usually follows the same pattern as the morning. I don't really know what to do, should I not lay him down in the morning at all? I am confused because I feel like this will push back all our times; afternoon nap and bedtime in particular. What is your nap schedule? We like consistency in this house and we need to get him back on track

Thanks in advance.
Re: Transitioning to one nap? Anyone?
We mostly followed her lead. At one point, she just stopped taking a morning nap all together. That is when we switch to taking one nap at 1:00pm that usually lasts about 2 hours. She still goes to bed at the same time (8:00pm). It didn't affect that at all.
I would say try not laying him down at all in the morning one day. Aim for a time (12 or 1) and see if he can last until then. If he gets too cranky, you can always put him down for a nap and try again another day or switch the time you are aiming for. We went with 1:00pm because that is the time she seemed to be naturally tiring out.
And I warn you, when they are switching from one nap to two, it can be a little back in forth. One day she would need 2 naps. Another day, she needed just 1. We just followed her lead and within a month's time we were consistently just doing the 1 nap.
Good luck!

I guess I am used to a schedule myself and he works better on one too. We will follow his lead and if he wants to nap in the am he will nap and if he doesn't he won't. Thanks for the advice and sharing your schedule.

DS did this too soon after turning 1. He'd take forever to go down for his first, which delayed the 2nd, leaving him waking up almost before bedtime. We just went cold turkey to 1 nap. We gave him lunch a little early, and put him down for his nap anywhere between 12 and 1.
