So I'm moving 7 hours away and will need a new doc. I got a recommendation from someone and called the office. Before I can set up an appointment the doc wants to look over my records and decided if he wants to even take me on. Is this weird??
It's not weird, some doctors have certain restrictions on things they can work with and not.. I wanted to have a midwife but they wouldn't accept me because I have twins :[
Not at all. I had some bleeding in the 8th week of this pregnancy and when i went to the ED I found out that I have 4 fibroids in utero with baby. When I called my first OB choice he said the same thing so I decided to go with my current doc who didn't need to do all that. I was very concerned and wanted to be seen asap.
Pretty normal for a lot of doctors offices. They go over everything and decide if your case is something they can handle, help with and what not. I worked in an allergy office, so this was standard practice for us.
