Weird moments at work

So, I am at work and just had two weird moments.
1) I had just given my noon meds and heard a child calling for "Mommy". I dropped everything and ran to the child, assuming I am "Mommy". No, I don't have any children and the kid wasn't even in distress, just trying to get her mom's attention.
2) I just overheard a conversation where a woman said "Yeah, my boyfriend. You know, the headless boyfriend..." What does that even mean?! I hope I just misheard.
