Mama's of color (or babies of color)

My African American LO has had splotchy pigmentation from the first month. Some of it has evened out but now his body is like 4 different shades brown. His face is much lighter than his little chocolatey legs! Anyone else notice this or something similar? My doc told me not to worry about it 5 months ago and I'm not concerned about his health or anything, but will it even out eventually...?

    wow, no response. crazy. so are there few women of color on here or am i the only one with a splotchy baby :) Either I should call the doc or request a new board called Mama's of Color!

    I can't answer your question (I'm pasty white - lol) but I just think this board is super slow today. Maybe try cross-posting on another board.

    I am not a mom of color but most of my nieces and nephews are biracial and they have changed in color over time and I have noticed that there knees, knuckles and backs of neck are darker than other parts of their bodies?
