BAgile and City Mini

Has anyone used the city mini or brittax bagile as a jogging stroller? I like what I'm reading about these as far as everyday use, but I know they are not necessarily for "jogging." I'm not an avid runner, but I'd like to have the option to jog with the stroller...any experience?

I am not a runner but do have the B-Agile. To be honest, I wanted to love it but I really don't.  :( It does not steer straight very easily when pushed with just one hand. Maybe I just got a bad stroller because all of the reviews are great and the one I tried out at BBB was fine. We do use it as a daily stroller and I LOVE the sunshade but I don't know how much I would really recommend it. I will probably buy a different stroller when baby #2 is old enough to be in a stoller out of the carrier.

  • Neither of those strollers are recommended for jogging per the manufacturer.
With that said, there was one time in Disney world that we were trying to make it back to the car before a huge thunderstorm and I sprinted with our city mini... It was awkward. You can't really take a full stride because your legs would kick the stroller and the handle wasn't deep enough.

If you want to jog, I suggest getting a less expensive jogging stroller and just using that. You'll want one with air filled tires too.

Don't jog with a non jogging stroller.   You need the air tires and suspension of the jogging stroller to protect your child and keep their head and neck from getting jostled around.  An adult's head is less than 10% of their weight but it's more like 25% the weight of a child so that's why they need the extra support.  Also, it's not recommended to jog with a baby until they are 1 year old.

For jogging, the BOB and Bumbleride Indie are nice options.  BOB for serious runner and the Indie for more light jogging/power walking.
