Sex? OUCH!

I don't know about the rest of you but I definitely cannot have sex yet. I am 7 and half weeks pp and DH and I have tried three different times to have sex. It is so painful when he tries to put it in I can't stand it. I thought after 6 weeks everything would be fine but boy was I wrong. It seriously has me worried that I will never be able to have sex with my husband again! (well at least no time soon) Its not like I am feeling super sexual these days but I want to be close to him and intimate. It also bothers me that DH has to go without it. I know he hates this! And even though he's sweet about it I know it frustrates him every time we try and then can't do it. Anyone else dealing with this? I am a first time mom so I don't know if this is normal or not.

    With my first, DH and I had several "attempts" before it actually worked, and I could tolerate it.  But, it will get better after a few more times.  Try using some KY jelly or something similar...especially if you are BF which can be drying down there.  You can always try a glass of wine to help you relax.  Those two things helped me. GL!

    Yes I am breastfeeding. And we did use KY Jelly and I had some wine. My OB suggested both. LOL Unfortunately neither of those things helped enough Tongue Tied Hopefully future attempts will be more successful.

    dh and i were successful 7 wks PP, BUT i had a c/s so i didnt have any business going on south.....hope things work out for ya'll....

    I didn't realize BF would make matters worse. That is good to know! I'll have to try these suggestions out because yeah.. so ouch

    It was our second attempt when he was able to get in but when he was pulling out HOLY CRAP!! It hurt something awful. And we used bunch of lube. Haven't tried since and I am 9 weeks pp and that was about a week ago. I looked at my vagina and I have these blister things on the inside of inner labia. Not sure about them but will be asking Dr Wednesday when I go get Mirena put in.

    Dh and I tried it last week 5wk pp. boy was it awful. Just uncomfortable. This is my third and I was shocked. But also doesn't help my hubby hates my leaky boobs and that DS doesn't sleep until 1030 11. But I feel bad too bc my hubby is having major withdrawals.

    We haven't tried yet, but that's how it was for me during pregnancy. So I'm a little afraid. Haha

    I was cleared today. I have a question...did your exam hurt? Just wondering I'd there's a correlation? I didn't experience any discomfort during mine so I'm just wondering if I will once we have sex?

    With DS1it hurt a lot. I talked to my OB and she prescribed an estrogen cream that menopausal women use but thought it would help with dryness which would then help it not hurt

    Not sure if there is a correlation but I was cleared at almost 6 weeks. Exam didn't hurt. I had sex the next day and two days after that pain free. It was different but not painful. I had a vaginal delivery with minimal tearing. Today at 7 weeks pp for play was a little uncomfortable so we stopped there.

    My dr. warned me of this.  She said that it's very common for moms who are breastfeeding....something about the hormones when breastfeeding are basically stopping the body from getting to hyped about making another baby.

    She suggested we use lube even if using condemns
