XP on January 2014. Surpise at NT scan!

OMG. I am having 2 babies.

I went into my NT scan this morning praying for 1 healthy-looking baby. Heartbeat, fully formed skull, 2 arms, 2 legs. The tech put the wand on my belly and the baby was in perfect position for measuring. The tech rolled the wand a bit the get a look at my whole uterus and I saw it. A flash of what looked like another baby standing up in the background! The tech steadily asked me if this was my first ultrasound with this pregnancy and all I could reply was, "Holy crap. Was that another baby?!"

So...I have an almost-2-year old and am expecting twins! Original due date was 1/20/14 but it sounds like now I could be having New Year's babes. They are mono/di and while this is all SUPER new to me, I was told that they probably won't let me carry much later than 37 weeks.

Hoping to stick around and participate more. God knows I'll need an outlet!

I'm 26 weeks with twins and still get the OMG feeling or burst out laughing that there are actually 2 babies in there.

Congrats! I found out about the same time in my pregnancy. Went in for my first appt which was about 12 weeks along and couldn't hear a heartbeat, went across the hall for an ultrasound and there were two! My boys are also mono di and will be one next month. I've learned a lot from this board so stick around!

WOW congratulations! Isn't it the strangest feeling? Going in praying for one healthy baby and actually seeing TWO? I think not finding out until 12 weeks makes it even more strange because you went all those weeks thinking you were carrying ONE baby! Congratulations to you all!

Best. Surprise. EVER. Congrats! I think I shook for two weeks after finding out there were two in there! It's hectic, but I'd have ten more sets of twins. They are so much fun and such a crazy, amazing life event!

Congratulations! I just about fell off the ultrasound table when I found out I was having twins. At 24 weeks, it still feels a little surreal to me sometimes.

I was looking at my husband when HE saw #2 (I was crying out of relief for seeing ONE heartbeat, I hadn't been having symptoms and was worried they wouldn't find any baby at all!) - his eyes got wide, so I looked over at the screen, then said "OH S#!T" ha ha.

I found out early - 6 weeks - I think I wish I had found out later, I stressed myself out times 2 worrying until my 10.5 week scan. But so so so thrilled now, and wouldn't want it any other way!

These ladies are fantastic - definitely reach out with any feelings!!!

Congrats! Your story sounds almost exactly like mine (though we found out at 6wks at an u/s to get our due date) with a nearly 2 year old and twins on the way. Mine will be here next week, if all goes according to plan.
