A little back story... my husband mis-pronounces LO's name. Her name is Lauren and he calls her Laren. We named her after she was born and couldn't agree with a girls name to save our lives. I was coming off severe meds and LONG STORY and a lot of fighting later... he still calls her La-ren. Dumb a$$,
Anyway, we want to have a second baby and I don't want him butchering the name this time around. I also want to close the deal on a name ASAP so we're not put in that position again.
Here are some thoughts for girls names: Jillian, Jocelyn; Audrey; Evelyn
Boys: Seth, Thomas, Knoll, Joshua.
Re: Siblings for Lauren
Like Thomas and Joshua. Prefer Joshua probably. Never heard of Knoll and not a fan or Seth.
My friend has a dd Lauren, she calls her Laren.
I've never heard of anyone pronouncing Lauren as La-ren... did your DH grow up with a La-ren?
On the names, I like Seth or Joshua for boys. And for the girls, I like Audrey the best.
Not a big fan of matchy matchy names, and Jillian, Jocelyn, and Evelyn are a little too close to Lauren in pronunciation for my taste.
No, Nick's from PA and he thinks that my pronouncing it "Lauren" is because I'm from Jersey. Like how I pronounce Coffee and Dog. You know what I mean? I have an aunt Dawn and he calls her "Don" because he doesn't understand the "Aw" sound. It seriously makes me want to slam my face into a wall.
Are you and your H from different parts of the country? If yes, it sounds like this could be an accent thing. I say Lauren as Law-ren, while my H says it more like your H does.
Annnyyywayyy....
For a girl I really like Jocelyn with Lauren and for a boy my favorite on your list is Joshua.
Edit-- just saw your response. It's regional.

I like all your girl names... other suggestions:
Elisabeth
Vivian
Catherine
For boys I like Seth and Joshua. Thomas bores me and Knoll is a little strange, reminds me of a grassy knoll. Other suggestions:
Cameron
Colin
LOL, maybe you shouldn't let it bother you so much... people pronounce things differently depending on where they're from, I'm sure he can't help it!!
Edit: I'm from Massachusetts so you would probably HATE the way I say most words.

I like all your girl names except Jocelyn. For the boys, I really like Thomas and Joshua. Knoll is not good.
FWIW I feel you - one of my favorite girl names is Cecilia and my H pronounces it seh-SILL-yuh instead of seh-SEEL-yuh. It drives me crazy.
Lauren is a name that is definitely pronounced differently depending on what part of the country you're in. It's my MN. In the south, the typically say La-ren. Everywhere else, they seem to say Lor-en.
I love the name Sawyer but DH says Saw-yer and I say Soy-er so it was out. Lauren got tossed for the same reason. I think both are completely correct but I just wanted to agree on how to pronounce them.
I feel like Jocelyn is a name that can have a few pronunciations so I would avoid that. Is it Joss-lyn? ... I would automatically say it like that. Is it Jose-a-lynn? Joss-a-lynn? It's mostly a 2 or 3 syllable thing. That would drive me nuts.
