Trying to Get Pregnant

OPK is positive, when to BD?

Hi Everyone,

This morning, my wondfo OPK was positive and my Clearblue Digi was at peak. My question to everyone is this:

My husband and I did the BD yesterday evening when he got home from work around six. When should we do the BD again now that there is a positive LH surge? Is it okay to BD again tonight or should we wait until tomorrow? He has no known fertility issues.

Advice please :)

Re: OPK is positive, when to BD?

  • Some people do ED and some do EOD, it just depends on what you want to do.  GL!

  • You can go ED. My H has no issues, and the OB still suggested EOD, but I've always heard if there are no issues ED is fine. I think she was just suggesting EOD so we don't burn ourselves out lol.

    Good luck :)

  • You may not O for 24-36 hours, so your BD yesterday will be o-2 at best. For a better chance I'd do it again tonight or tomorrow am.

  • RIGHT MEOW!!! :)

But seriously, if there's no issues, today is great, and tomorrow too if y'all are up for it.

  • I'm so torn about what to do. I don't want to wear DH out. I understand that it could be 24-36 hours before Ovulation. I don't know whether to do tonight or just wait until tomorrow morning before he goes to work!
  • Personally, I'd BD tonight, tomorrow night, and the next night.  If this is too much sex, then I'd just do it tonight and tomorrow night.  If you're temping, you can BD until ovulation is confirmed.  Good luck!
