Love/Hate

I am currently having a Love/Hate relationship with the pillow I use to suppose my midsection when I sleep.  I do not have a body pillow or special pillow of any kind.  I know people have asked this before but the posts are probably buried.

Anyone have good suggestions on body or maternity pillows and the best place to start looking for one? I know my tossing and turning to get comfortable is not only driving me crazy it's also driving DH up a wall.  Hopefully with the right support I will sleep better.

  • I guess it depends on what you want to spend. I have a ten dollar body pillow from Target that works just fine, while I've heard others talk about Snoogles being awesome. I've seen those go for anywhere from 50 bucks and up. I think amazon had it the cheapest the last I looked, but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a pillow.

  • Ugh, I feel your pain.  I tried the boppy wedge pregnancy pillow and it was way too hard for me so I returned it. Some people here swear by the snoogle, but we just have a queen and that would require me to kick my husband out of bed, so I haven't tried it.

I bought a regular sized memory foam pillow I got on sale that I wedge under my stomach and sleep on my left side and that seems to be working for now.  Good luck!!

  • I have a Snoogle as well. Honestly, I use that more for my back and hip support. I took one of my old stuffed animals from my parent's house and use that for my belly support. I didn't want a bunch of pillows all over the bed. It's perfect.

Okay, flame away that I sleep with a stuffed animal now.

  • Husband bought me a snoogle for Mother's Day and it is great. We have a queen size bed and I haven't kicked him out of it yet, so no problems there. It took a little getting used to but now I need it to sleep!
  • SNOOGLE all the way...it's long, but not too bulky.  You should have plenty of room without having to kick anyone out of bed.  I like it because I don't even have to use a regular pillow anymore.  I tuck it under my next and then it goes all the way down to the ankles so it's great for hip support too.

  • If you're just looking for a pillow to support your bump, I recommend the Boppy wedge.  I got it at BRU for around $20.  I love my snoogle but it's too big and round to support my midsection when laying on my side.  The wedge it perfect and much more portable too.
