I will be 16 weeks pregnant at our wedding this September. My fianc wants to "get it out in the open" so people aren't gossiping about our hasty marriage. He would like to include on the invitation somehow that we're expecting. Any suggestions for wording? This will be a smallish, casual affair and we're both pretty comical. My thought was "bride and groom and bun in the oven invite you to their wedding..."
Re: Mentioning baby in Wedding invites?
Anyone that knows you/would be invited would know you were KU already anyways at 16 weeks, I would think.
Sounds tacky to me and just makes the "hasty" marriage thing look worse.
SCANDAL!
Coming from a totally different perspective. I don't know when you are ordering your invites.....it's still early in your pg right now....but god forbid something goes wrong & you MC. That invite will be an added painful reminder and will lead to painful questions on your wedding day.
~~~Sorry to be a Debbie Downer~~~
I'm with PPs maybe a toast to the "happy family" would be a better idea. Congrats on your LO!!!
