Early U/S Question

For anyone on mobile, I am currently 5wks,5days. I have been having an uncomfortable pain in my lower right abdomen since Saturday. I personally think I pulled something, because along with the pain my sciatic nerve is already bothering me. Before I call up a chiropractor I wanted to get checked out by my OB/GYN. All she did today was a pelvic exam and said she couldn't feel anything, and their U/S tech was swamped today to get me in so they're having me come in first thing tomorrow morning. I'm really panicked about this U/S because of how early it is. I know there's a chance that we might not see anything with the baby but that everything could still be O.K. anyway. But this is not going to suffice my PGaL brain. At. All. Have any of you ladies had any early U/S and what were the outcomes? Thanks ladies!

I had an early u/s done at 6 weeks. All we saw was an empty gestational sac. One week later we saw a baby with a good heartbeat.

So sorry for the pain! We saw just an empty gestational sac and they even said it was likely a blighted ovum but turns out the bean was there a few days later! Hope it all works out tomorrow morning! Don't let PgAL brain get you! (((hugs)))

That's super early, so try not to freak yourself out too much if you don't see a lot. Good luck!

I've had ultrasounds at 5 weeks 6 days and have been able to see a heartbeat. I've also had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 4 days to only see a gestational sac and yolk sac. Then saw the heartbeat a week later. Its so hard, but if you only see the sac, don't freak! I hope that pain gets better!

This. We didn't get a fetal pole until a little over 6 weeks.

I had one early due to spotting. The first two we just saw gestational sacks. The third, we had a heartbeat! I was spotting/bleeding for 3 weeks. Oh, and I had lower left abdominal pain. Turns out it was a 5 cm, yes cm, cyst maintaining the pregnancy.

I had an u/s at 6w3d and we saw the fetal pole but no heartbeat yet... At 7w3d we went back and there still wasn't a heartbeat and very little growth. To make it worse I had also been bleeding and passing clots. The OB told us to prepare for a miscarriage. We went back at 9w and there was a perfect little baby with a heartbeat of 175. I am now 22w as of today with a healthy little girl!
