Pregnant after a Loss

late term pgal brain...

Baby is almost 35 weeks and measuring to term around 38 weeks. Obviously she is running out of room but it FREAKS me out that her movements have decreased. Don't get me wrong, I still get my kick counts but she has really slowed down compared to a few weeks ago. Anyone else get anxiety from this? I am so looking forward to worrying about her outside my body where I can see her instead of inside where I cant...kind of a vent post but was tossing and turning all night about this.

  • My guy is still active, but since he is out of room, its not the kicks any more. Just the turns and arm and leg...and butt movements. It made me nervous at first too. He has definite sleep and wake cycles now, and if he is asleep, he is out. God help me if I get worried and try to wake him with cold water or something sweet...then he is up and moving like crazy and I wish he'd go back to sleep, lol.

  • Thanks ladies. While I know its normal, it still is scary. I suppose anxiety damping up close to the end is normal.

  • I have major anxiety over movement. I'll be 34 weeks Saturday. This baby has been mellow through the whole pregnancy and add that to an anterior placenta and pgal brain = worried mommy. But like you I always get my kick counts so I try to stay calm as much as possible.

  • I totally understand. This little guy has definitely had a couple slow days recently. It scares the bejesus out of me. I couldn't get him to move for like 15 minutes yesterday no matter how much I prodded my belly. I finally whipped out the Doppler and of course he hates that so he immediately started punching at it. Little sneak.
