L&D on 4th of July

Hi ladies,

I don't think I've written a post before....

I just have a question. I'm 31 weeks with my twins, and live in the desert and on the 4th I woke up feeling weird. Eyes felt weird, I had a headache, dull backache, and bad cramps with loose stools. So, of course I drank some water and laid down, but they didn't get any better, or worse. Later that day after dinner my boyfriend took me to L&D.

After getting monitored, they (the nurses, I had 2) said they saw one contraction. What I find weird is that whenever I got a cramp with the backache, my boyfriend and I saw spikes on the screen. After a little while, the nurse came back and said there was nothing to worry about (thank goodness) and gave me 1 1/2 bags of "sugar water" and told me I'm dehydrated and also need to eat more (I have such a small appetite). 

I feel like I was imagining things and feel like I was an idiot for going in. She said she believes me about feeling what I felt, but said she just didn't see anything.

Just curious if anyone has dealt with the same thing.
