Baby Names

name difficulty

I'm not too fond of boys names so it's really hard coming up with one, especially since the DH is picky about them, too. The other night he said 'what about Rory?' and I loved it. I brought it up with my parents when we went over for dinner. Trouble is, they can't pronounce Rory. Being cambodian, english is their second language, R's are kind of hard for them to pronounce and when they say it, it sounds almost like Lorie. My grandma can't say it at all and I highly doubt his parents can say it since they don't nearly speak as much english. Huge tongue twister. Maybe have it as a middle name? Trouble is, it'd be back to square one on first names again. Any ideas for names? Any suggestion would help Yes

I thought this. Why can't they use a nickname or pet name of their choosing ?

Honestly, I never thought about it. They're going to do it regardless of the name.

This was my thought. I'd use Rory if you both love it.  My grandparents are German and my brother and I both have a "th" sound in our names, something Germans don't use... so we were always "Ma-chew" and "Saman-Ta" .  We never thought twice about it.
