Shaded Walks

Hi everyone -

My baby is 2 months old and I am looking to get out for more walks with him in the stroller. However, we're trying to stay out of the sun and not get too hot. Does anyone have any suggestions for good areas/paths for walks near Edina/Minneapolis that are very shaded? I would prefer to find something that has lots of shade and/or tree cover rather than go to a mall or some other indoor location.

I would look at the Richardson Nature Center at the Hyland Park reserve in Bloomington. I remember going there a few years ago and being pretty shaded on the trail we went on. They have a lot of different trail options-I think they are mainly woodchip trails- some going through more forested areas and others through prairie (unshaded). The ones that come to mind are pretty far from you...

Reservoir Woods in Roseville is nice (though not a long walk).

Also, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has some nice, shady trails, though they're a bit rugged and you'd need a jogging stroller or baby backpack.
