August 2012 Moms

It's SPRING!

Or so Michigan thinks. It's pouring here. I mean, torrential downpour. It's been raining for two weeks now, pretty much every day. We've had like 8 (?) days of full on summer, 90+ degree (that's 32C for all the Canadians), low wind, beautiful days...and that's been it.

I'm trying to shop for 18 month clothes for G and I don't even know what season to buy. All of them, I'm guessing, since summer will probably eventually pop up mid-August.

How's the weather by you? Predictable?

Re: It's SPRING!

  • Hot, hot and hot. It has been pretty warm here and we aren't even in the hottest time of year. The end of July through September can get pretty warm. Today isn't too bad, it's 91. You are more than welcome to come enjoy summer over here :)

  • West Michigan was hot and drizzly earlier today, but now the sun is out.  In the last two months, we've only had a couple cold, rainy days.
  • The Haar was really thick this morning and it just got thicker throughout the day. I had a window open in the sun room and now I have a cloud in there that I don't know how to get out. I think I will just wait for it to clear up outside before I close the window.

  • It just stopped raining. It's hot and muggy here in Ga.

I was just going to say the same thing.  West MI is where it's at-at least during the summer, I love it. Winters suck.

  • We've had daily (or mostly daily) rain for at least three weeks and counting. It's also humid here and people who have lived here longer than I have say it's abnormally humid but it should be hotter. Not sure how I feel about the heat but I am hating the rain and humidity. So is my hair. Luckily, I am spending three weeks of August away. October. I hear October is pretty nice here so I am looking forward to that.

Then and now. How did my boy get so big?

I grew up twenty minutes outside of W MI and I love the winters there. I'd rather cold and snowy than sort of cold and brown.

  • Rain, rain and more rain here too. My grandpa's green beans molded on the vine there was so much water!

  • I think mother nature is making up for the dry summer we had last year.

Since I didn't grow up here, I think it's funny that the newspaper has forecasts for the coast, inland, and mountains, and the temps are so different!
