Sorry I know this is a gross topic and a little too TMI. I've been having some white kind of liquid discharge lately. I generally have a little but this seems like more than usual. I know this can be an early sign but have heard mixed messages on it being a sign I'm getting my period I should get it this coming weekend. Anyone deal with discharge before period? Or should I think about testing?

    I typically get white discharge a couple days before my AF. I think it qualifies for creamy CM.

    What day of your cycle are you?  If AF is late, take a test.  Yes all of the estrogen in pregnancy can cause increased discharge, but it isn't a good way to know if you are pregnant.

    BFP#1 10 wk missed mc      

    BFP#2 DS born at 40+2 on 8/14/12  BFP#3 DD Born at 39+3 on 5/13/14

    I get discharge before too.  I have EWCM about a week before-after I've O'd, and then I get creamy a couple days later and then dry about 2 days before AF.  No BFP yet... 

    TTC Since October 2012.  I’m 27 and DH is 30

    DH: 4 SAs, all came back normal, blood testing 6/13-9/13 all normal

    Me: 03/13 irregular cycles, hypothyroidism diagnosis

         3/13 full blood panel showed normal results except thyroid

         5/13 regulated hypothyroidism, regular cycles again

         6/13 day 21-24 blood testing came back normal

         6/13-9/13 DH testing with Urologist- normal

         11/13 ultrasounds and full hormonal blood panel were normal

         12/13 OB consult, day 3 blood tests and HSG ordered

         01/14 HSG results normal, day 3 blood tests are normal

    Just hoping that AF will back off and give me a chance to take a pregnancy test! All are Welcome!!

    Your discharge is probably an increase in CM. I often get an increase in creamy CM before my period, and it's common to get an increase in discharge during pregnancy. But I agree that it's not a good way to tell if you're pregnant. If you're period is late, take a test, that's the only way to know.

    Thanks ladies! I think at this point I'm associating everything with a possible symptom when I probably never noticed all these things before my period each month.

    You're not the only one!  I do too... But Good Luck and I hope you get a BFP!!

    Exactly that.  Unfortunately once you start TTC you notice things your body is doing (probably that's it's always done) that you simply overlooked before.  I've found tracking my information in FertilityFriend helps keep me sane.  That way I can look back on previous cycles and see what my body was doing on the same CD or DPO.

    This is my first cycle TTC and first off BC and I'm on CD 51 with allll kinds of CM. I have no clue if I O'd or not so I can't tell you what CM is typically related to O with me but I've come to realize CM can happen at any stage in the game. As PP said, testing depends on what CD you are. If AF is close, then sure, test-but CM definitely isn't a 100% indicator of pregnancy or else I would probably be dropping babies monthly.

    Was it Immediate Discharge?

    (sorry, couldn't resist)

    The only telling sign would be a positive pregnancy test. But I sure do wish that increased CM meant being KU.
