UPDATED Update on me

Well that didn't go quite as planned!

The surgery went fine, but they ended up having to keep me overnight after what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure. I'm in a ton of pain that they were completely unable to manage. I'm on morphine and toradol and still at a pain level 7. And I've been throwing up all night. I can't hold anything down.

Who would have thought that a wrist surgery would be a bigger ordeal than natural childbirth! Hopefully I can get out of here soon. I'm missing E so much!

UPDATE: I'm home. Still in a lot of pain and a lot of nausea. But glad to be back home and so glad my mom is here to help. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Oh no! This is not the update I was hoping to see. Sending tons of thoughts and prayers that they get your pain under control soon so you can go home to your sweet E.

Oh no! Anesthesia makes me crazy sick as well, but like you I found that out the hard way after a surgery and ever since ask for a cocktail of anti-nausea meds before I go under.

I hope you get outta there soon and can be back with LO (and in your own bed!).

Ack! This is not good! Are they sure the surgery went okay? Sounds like a nve or something ended up in the wrong place. I hope you feel better soon! Hugs.

Shoot! So sorry. Hope they can get your pain under control. Just FYI if your nausea/vomiting isn't from the anesthesia it could be from the morphine. A lot of my patients get sick on it, we don't use it much. Hopefully it's just the anesthesia and that'll be clearing out soon. Thanks for updating us. Hope you get some rest, feel better soon

Oh no I am so sorry to hear this!! I hope you start feeling better real soon!!

Just an fyi...with all the anti-nausea meds and painkillers I hope you are also throwing in a Colace. You don't want to have to deal with "that" while recovering from everything thing else....I am so sorry!
