  • I would! I debated it at first, but I am glad I did because they ask family medical history's on both of your sides. They also go over what you will expect with your upcoming appts. This is our first child, so every bit of information on what to expect was helpful!

My hubby is going to come with me! We miscarried earlier this year so he wants to go to support me and he is super excited for our first baby!!

I think it's really just up to the two of you...everyone here is going to have different opinions.

  • If he can, I would probably take him. If it is a big deal for him to get off work, I wouldn't. The first appt. is pretty long.
  • My h is going to mine. I want him there for support.
  • It totally depends on whether he wants to, and whether you care if he's there. DH has gone to all my appointments (like when we were TTC), but it's certainly not necessary. We have our first ultrasound this Wednesday morning (6.5 weeks), and DH is definitely coming to that -- we get to see Baby! Big Smile

My hubby is going, but he is a soon-to-be doctor. He has more questions ready for the OB than I do! Haha Also, this is our first and I think he'd want to be there. Lucky for us, he is on a vacation month from med school so it isn't a huge hassle for him to get time off to come with me.

Mine is going to mine :)
  • DH is coming to the first one and then appointments that I will have ultrasounds or if there is something serious. I have appointments every two weeks due to a previous late term miscarriage. There's no need for him to have to come to that many appointments since its an hour travel time between his office and my doctor's office.
  • I would if he's available to go my dh has always gone to the first appt and then as many as he can make it to after that! :

  • If he is available I would bring him. It is helpful when they go over all the medical history. He can always bail out after that part. If he doesn't go make sure you write down all his families medical history and his blood type.
