Quick Question: I've always wanted to be a surrogate even before having my own children. I'm due with my son on September 8th and this will be our last child. We need to decide how we are going go about birth control knowing that I want to do this. If I get my tubes tied, can I still be a surrogate? I wouldn't want to use my own eggs anyway.
I'm going to ask my OB at my next appointment but that's not for a few weeks.
Re: Tubes Tied Surrogate?
Seems like it'd be ok to me - ask your doctor - but if you don't plan to use your own eggs (gestational carrier) then IVF will work fine. I have no tubes at all and I got pregnant using donor egg/donor sperm, so really not much different!
Best of luck with the birth of your new baby and as you head down the path of being a surrogate!
