Chloe is hilarious. I love my child.
We started holding her hands and standing behind/above her so she can practice taking steps. She'll take like, two, and as soon as we start moving forward with her she just picks up both feet off the ground so we'll carry her.
She'll hang out in bed with DH watching him play video games and when she decides she wants his attention she leans into him and whispers 'Dada' in the softest sweetest voice with those huge puppy dog eyes of hers staring at him.
She found the Babies R Us Rewards card the other day and she would not put that down for ANYTHING. DH kept on trying to give her blocks, and rattles, and other toys she loves but no, she was waving the card in the air and screaming excitedly like 'OMG I'M GOING TO GO BUY ALL THE TOYS!' This went on for a good 5 minutes.
I take her for runs in the jogging stroller and she shouts until I start running. When I slow down to a walk she gives me about 2 minutes before shouting again. Great coach.
When she wakes up in the morning now she sits up in her crib, faces the video monitor and says 'Mamamamama' until I come get her.
I gave her a bendy straw the other day and she spent 10 minutes waving it like a magic wand and doing her creepy old man excited grunt/giggle.
She starts crawling away and I say 'Chloe Jane, where are you going?!' And she looks over her shoulder at me, smirks, and then crawls away faster.
Her dad is a total sucker for her. He keeps buying her new things.
I miss the baby stage but this whole getting older thing is so much fun too!!
Re: Kid, You'll Move Mountains!
I love this age.
DS started clapping this weekend after a week or so of what I call "clapping bootcamp." LOL Next up, waving bootcamp.
He also stood for a moment or two unassisted.
ETA: Your Chloe sounds like a trip!! Love the whispering in daddy's ear part.
Those are some great stories.
I'm enjoying this stage. DS is always making me laugh.

We're about to start waving bootcamp over here. I'm sick of people waving to her when we're out in public and when she doesn't wave back they say "Oh, she doesn't do that yet?" All judgey. She can wave, she just doesn't do it often. And she doesn't like strangers. I always want to say something like "No, we decided to focus on trigonometry before waving. Waving just seems so pedestrian." And walk away.
LOL love it!
