What is/was your child(ren)'s favorite age?

Just for fun...I am just curious  - what has been your favorite age (or at least so far for those w/really little ones)?

Re: What is/was your child(ren)'s favorite age?

  • I used to think it was 6 months. Now I think I am most in love with 18+. They are so independent and just spout out the funniest things. I love babies and all, but give the rough and tumble toddlers any day!

Every time I think I can't adore my DS more, I am proven wrong and seem to love the next age even more. (Although I could do without all of the sassy talk!)
  • All ages but the NB stage. She had colic.

  • I enjoy 6-12 months, fun and easy going but still so precious and cute. I'm also finding 3 adorable.  I have not found it to be worse than 2 like I had read, DD still has a tantrum here and there, but over all she listens fairly well and so much of what comes out of her mouth and her mannerisms are hysterical. I also am enjoying how independent she's become and it's great being about to do projects and cooking and have her really be able to participate and have real conversations with her.
  • I think my favorite age is still ahead of me. I'm not a baby person and there's SO MUCH I want to share with my daughter.

Two year olds are tough for a variety of reasons but I love that I can finally plan little outings and sit and have conversations.

I pretty much loved everything from 13 months on, and I'm also in the "it keeps getting better" camp. I also wouldn't be surprised if I love the preschool/elementary school years more than the baby/toddler ones.

  • Definitely where they are now (almost 4). I'm not a baby person & having two at once did not help LOL! I don't really remember the first year and the 2nd to 3rd years were really challenging in a lot of ways... I love being able to have conversations and not worry so much about all the safety stuff & just watch their imaginations develop and learning fun stuff and being able to do some really fun things w/ them. I am really looking forward to the 4-5 year.
  • It keeps getting better. The more my kids grow the less I like the baby stage. When DD learned to read it was the most amazing milestone.

  • My favorite age keeps changing - and it always coincides with DS' current age. :)

Seriously, the older he gets, the better it gets. It's so much fun to have a full fledged conversation about things with him. Plus he's so much more independent that I'm starting to feel like I have a real life again. I better enjoy the next 7 months till we start all over again!

  • I vote 2-3 yrs. That is always the age where I tell DH "we could NOT make a cuter kid." And then we have another and I think she's even cuter when she hits that age.

  • I loved the chubby giggly non mobile baby stage (4-8 months).  I honestly love almost every stage, with the exception of 18-21 months (both of my threw tons of tantrums b/c they couldn't communicate) and 3.  DD at 3 was ROUGH.  I'm dreading my youngest hitting that phase, although maybe he won't be such a drama queen. ;)
  • I have to say I really love the newborn stage.  Both my girls have been really good babies and newborns are so damn cute.  But then of course every stage gets better.  I'd say around 6-12 months was not great because of the continued waking through the night to eat maybe?

I really love my 17 mo old stage now because she's starting to talk and she's very cuddly.  My almost 3 year old is at a great stage too because she is potty trained and goes to sleep very easily.  She also tell us she loves us and is very loving.

Anyway I'm sure it'll get better but I really like the stage they're at now.
