A dear friend of mine is getting married in another state next month. It's a 6-7 hour drive so we would be spending the night away from home.
Is it unwise to travel this late? I meant to ask my doctor and forgot, but the nurse practitioner was a bit gloom and doom about it. :-/ But she also looked askance at me when I said I drank coffee every morning so ... I'm not sure if she wasn't just being a bit gloom and doom about everything. I would be very sad to miss this wedding but if it's not safe then of course I want what's best for the babies!
Re: Travel at 26 weeks?
I'd definitely check with your doctor. An appointment right before the trip would probably be an excellent idea as well.

My doctor told me I am fine to travel up to 30 weeks barring "something happening" - meaning if I go for my 27 week check up and there is some type of complication, I would have to cancel.
I am planning on taking a 2 week vacation to Greece on 24 weeks. I wouldn't worry at all about a one-night trip a car ride away.
