That time of the day! We're in the middle of a heat wave here, as I'm sure most are, so cooking dinner in the oven probably wasn't the best idea, but I've had these peppers in the fridge for a while now and wanted to use them, so were having stuffed peppers! What's on everyone's table tonight?
Re: WFD?
::waives hello from the next wave over::
I made fried chicken, and because it is so unbearably hot, I've been rockin' only my bra and panties all day.
Note to self, frying anything while topless is a terrible idea. Although DH thought it was hilarious.
Really hot here too!! We had homemade black bean burgers, oven potatoes and corn on the cob. Fresh pineapple and mango for dessert!
Hope everyone is staying cool!
Boiled peanuts? Dafuq is that???
It's hot here too so we kept it cool and simple. Hummus and fresh veggie platter & fresh fruit (pineapple and cantaloupe) with prosciutto, ham and cheeses
Im already hungry again...
I just lolled. I have no idea what they are but your response is classic
I lolled too. They are delicious! I had never had them before I moved south (I live right on the NC/SC border). They are exactly as named - salty peanuts that are boiled. They are kind of mushy; you boil them in shell and crack the shell and eat the peanut inside. Sooo yummy.
First place I ever had them was in Savannah, GA where my sister went to school. But yes, it's a southern thing. You can get them at most gas/convenience stations 'round here.
Yep. Definitely a southern thing. My H loves them. There are always little stands on the side of the road selling them around here.
Oh, and they're exactly what they sound like. Peanuts boiled in the shell.
It's a Louisiana thing too! I love boiled peanuts. There was a guy that sold them at football games that said .... Put your money in your hand because here comes the peanut man.
ETA: in Louisiana they add crab boil when boiling them to make them hot.
I understand ... I'm a bad Cajun I just can't stand seafood!!! I love having crawfish boils but can't stand to touch any of that stuff.
I love boiled peanuts! Especially when they're spicy! Man, I cannot wait to move back to Louisiana.
I made ribs and boiled potatoes tonight. The BBQ sauce totally caramelized on the bottom of the own though. Not looking forward to cleaning that up.
Tee-hee. This made me laugh.

LOL. I learned this lesson the hard way before. :P
We went to this awesome place called nacho mammas. It's so good, I had chicken nachos with this yummy mango habanero sauce, roasted potatoes, sour cream, jack cheese. Soo good.
Care to share that fried pb&j recipe? I love making them on the stove, like grilled cheese. This sounds amazing
Eta: do you dip it in batter?
