DD proved to us this morning that she can climb out of her crib with the sleep sack on. She is 18 months and I don't know if she is ready to be transitioned. She is able to crawl in and out of the crib relatively easy. Do I leave her in the crib and let her climb in/out or do I convert her crib? I had planned on leaving her in the crib alot longer than this. Also, if I do convert do I put a baby gate across her door
Re: Toddler bed??
We're skipping a toddler bed, too. It just seems a waste to me, so we'll go right to a twin bed when we switch. We were going to switch her to a full bed, but now I think that would take up too much play space in her already small room.
I wasn't planning on switching DD for quite a while yet, but I caught her putting her foot up on the crib rail 2-3 times this weekend, so I'm getting nervous that she'll try to climb out one of these days. She also started daycare today, and they nap on cots, so I fear that will also lead her to start complaining about her crib when she's at home. When we have to switch, I'll just make sure her room is made safer than it currently is. I'll probably gate her doorway when we switch.
