Finding out the gender at 14 weeks??? For real??

So my friend told me there's a 4d ultra sound place that can tell you the gender of the baby at 14 weeks. I've never heard of this so I went to their website and they say they can tell you at 14 weeks and if they can't for some reason they will bring you back for free.

The only thing is I don't like 4d ultrasounds!! I don't want to see the baby's face like that but the idea of knowing in another month is suuuuper tempting.

What are your thoughts??

I found out at 12 1/2 weeks at my NT scan with my MFM. They did some 4D but the gender part was not 4D. They look the same at that point. It's all about the angle of the dangle (or so I've been told). Of course, they had a 50/50 shot of getting it right so who knows how accurate they really are. kwim?

I wouldn't put a lot of stock into a guess at 14 weeks. It's not likely to be very accurate. If you're willing to spend the money, there's a blood test you can order online that will tell you the sex with much more accuracy. Stay away from the urine tests you get at the drug store, those are just for 'entertainment purposes'.

The only way to really know for sure that early is with a blood test: MaterniT21, Harmony, Verify, etc. I did the Mat21this time around 13 weeks and knew for sure once the results came back. With DD, even though they were right at the early NT Scan, we didn't fully believe them until the A/S around 20 weeks.

I wouldn't spend the money on it at 14 weeks, but that's just me. If you want an extra ultrasound, I'd probably wait until the 4d images are a little better of the baby.

It is possible. I found out at 12 weeks during my NT scan. They warned me-it is still early, so don't get too excited. At 15 weeks we went to one of those 3D/4D ultrasound places-just to find out the sex. They just did a regular ultrasound not the 3D or 4D because it was so early.

We found out the gender on a regular 2d scan at 15 weeks. If it's reliable, I'd go for it! I am crazy impatient though.

We found out at 13w5d that we were having a girl. It wasn't 4d, just a regular ultrasound at my MFM's office. There was no "angle of the dangle" as people like to say. It was just obvious that there was nothing between her legs, no meat and potatoes at all. My doctor did say he usually isn't as confident so early on but with us he said he was pretty much certain. Five or so more ultrasounds since then have all confirmed girl as well.

My RE said Girl at 13 weeks. Well he was right. Now he could have been just a really good guesser or he knew what he was looking at. IDK We did not buy anything and waited for out A/S to make sure. We never even told anyone in the family or anything.

My peri called all three girls at their NT scans around 12-13ish weeks. Of course I took it with a grain of salt until confirmation at the anatomy scan, but the office is 3 for 3 now.

I found out at 13 weeks with a regular ultrasound. I still waited till my 18 week to confirm it but it was VERY clear it was a boy.

We found out at a specialty place called a stork's view at 15 weeks. And the tech was 100% sure they were girls. If there was any question or if they were wrong you cld come back for free. And she was right!

I wouldn't, just because I am cheap. And it sounds like a scam. We will take your money to tell you early, but if we can't tell you we will keep your money and you can come back later and find out (around the same time that your doctor will tell you). I feel for you, my lo covered herself up forever and wouldn't let the dr get a peek. But I just wouldn't waste the money.

The tech at my NT scan at 12 weeks guessed girl but said she wasn't 100%. My OB's office offers gender determination u/s starting at 14w, so we went in at 14w3d (I was very anxious to find out!!) and they had no doubt that it's a girl from the 2d u/s. And, she's still a girl
