Trying to get out of the newbie lurker stage is hard you guys!!! Seriously....I need like a personal trainer for this. But instead of situps, they make me post or reply on here daily.
I lack motivation for almost everything these days, I guess that includes typing.

I keep picturing some sort of Rocky type montage with me wearing a sweat band while I sweat and type feverishly. Then maybe I stop and look like my wrists hurt, but I keep going DAMMIT!

As I'm typing this, I realize two things;
1 I'm typing a post!!! I can do this!
2 how completely lazy and weird I sound.

I had a hard time posting when I first joined as well. I lurked a lot more than posting in the beginning. I just posted on threads I found interesting and tried to post every time I "checked in". I ended up forming some great relationships with some really amazing women. Welcome to the board!

I'm mostly a lurker, too, because it takes me too long to come up with something to say. I'm a quiet person irl, too, at least in groups. Most of the time, I feel like anything I had to say has already been said.

I gave the same advice to my mom yesterday when she left for her trip. That is very good unsolicited advice. I guess we're not really strangers on here, though. Kind of like when Forrest Gump gets on the bus for the first time and meets Dorothy Harris the bus driver. Kind of.

Being a newb isn't so terrible. I find that my post count is lacking simply because I choose to refrain from posting because *sometimes* my sarcasm comes off as bitchery and with all the hormones flying around I'd hate to start up some unnecessary drama.

I'm doing this for you guys, I swear.

Says the self proclaimed "nice girl" who continues to say incredibly rude and offensive things over and over. Bravo. Also, I don't see how someone who is on here lurking is any different then someone who is on here posting? I wouldn't mind you lurking more often.

OP- You can do it. Just jump in. As long as you don't post about stupid things like anal fisting, you will be fine.

Yep, she is rude fo sho. Her snotty attitude in the water birth thread was enough for me, in addition to this post today.
