Does anyone have any bottle recommendations? I am planning to BF, but would like to also pump at about a month old. A number of brands suggest they are "just like mom", BPA free, anti-colic, etc. TIA.
I didn't like the First Years Breastflow and Advent with DS1. Too many pieces to keep clean. With him we ended up doing Playtex Drop Ins..nice and slow bottles easy to use, especially if you are breast feeding and going to daycare.
Anyways, I got the storage kit this time for the drop ins so that I could pump directly in the drop ins, store and feed with the same bag. Unfortunately DS2 didn't like them so I ended up with Tommee Tippee. They are nice and easy to clean, but the flow isn't as slow as the Playtex. But DS2 likes them.
My advice is to buy at least 2 kinds to start with in 3 packs. You can always buy more later when you find out what baby likes.

My LC recommends breastflow bottles, I used them with both of of my children for a short time. My kiddos like them. My first also really liked the nuk bottles.
DD has ended up being bottle fed (doesn't transfer milk well)... Started with a pack of born free that seemed to be okay. Then tried tommee tippee and those were ok too. Then we had a feeding evaluation with an LC/OT at children's hospital and she gave us a Dr. Brown's bottle (we had to teach DD to use her cheeks and the Dr. B's was easiest with this). Now Dr. B's is all she'll take. The parts are a total PITA to clean, but DH and I have gotten used to them.
