Intense Cramps/Pains?

Hi Ladies,

This is my first pregnancy, just got my BFP today!! 4.5 weeks in now.

For the last 3/4 days I have been having fairly intense pains at times in my mid lower tummy and sometimes to the right hand side and through to my back. I was so expecting AF to come this week not a BFP.

The pain kinda feels like an ache and comes in waves, often more at night and am restless when sleeping. Also pretty tired so been going to bed at like 7pm haha!

Anyone else with the same or know if this is ok/what it is?! Thanks x

    Hi! Please don't worry I posted something last week about exactly the same thing I'm around 5 weeks now and last week went to hosp for early scan as I was having pain in my left side and back along with spotting they found a 'sack' as they call it in my womb which is baby but a cyst on my left ovary which they said should go by itself going for other scan next week t make sure it's not growing. They old me that pain and cramps are normal in early pregnancy just ur body gearing up for the changes! If u are anxious speak to ur doc to put ur mind at rest but as long as you have no red blood it should pass please try not to worry I've been sick with worry so know how u feel first time Is always the worst I've heard as u don't k now what to expect....!

    I'm having cramps and pains, too. Mine are a bit like period cramps, makes me go to the bathroom and check. If you're not bleeding, I imagine it's just everything stretching and getting ready :)

    My cramping is more intense if I'm dehydrated. My doctor told me to drink as much water as possible the first trimester.

    Sounds pretty normal.  With my first two my cramps were so bad I was certain my period was about to start.  Especially with your first pregnancy, your uterus has a lot of stretching and changing to do to accommodate your little bug.

October 2012 Metformin 1500 mg= ovulation on CD34 BFP#2 11/14/12 9DPO, EDD 7/26/13, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks, our angel born sleeping 3/24/13 @ 22wks 2d. BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks.  Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!

    Thanks ladies!! I noticed last night that when I slept on my back not my tummy or side the pains were better! Not sure why.. Going to first doctors appointment today, will talk to them about it too. So excited for all of you!
