Hey All,
I haven't been on in probably a year or so. I was addicted to the support on here during pregnancy and during maternity leave, then slowly weaned off. But, my husband and I keep trying to get Q off of bottles and can't seem to work it out. Then I remember the bump and realized you all would know! So, If anyone has advice it is much appreciated! Q is ok about going to bed without a bottle but nap time is almost impossible without one and days are almost impossible without naptime.
We've tried making them less desirable by filling them with water instead of milk but she just screams for milk. Some things i've read talk about letting her wean herself because it's not worth upsetting everyone so much but i don.t know. any thoughts?
Re: Bottles
I personally would do it cold turkey. Just take away the bottles, and only offer sippies. She will absolutely have an adjustment period, but she'll get over it eventually. I'd just do like PP said and offer lots of dairy products and water.
I think at this point it's just about breaking the habit. GL! That sounds awful!
