We have a Fisher Price Healthy Booster and an old fashion wooden high chair. I never understood the fancy ones that recline (why would a baby who can't even sit up need to be eating at the table??) so we went with something super simple. We love the booster and still use it for Charlie now. Its easy to travel with and easy to clean (the top can go in the dishwasher and there is no fabric to get messy). I highly recommend it.

I have the Graco Blossom. It converts from an infant recline position, booster, child's seat, etc. we are happy with it so far. DD has been using it the last couple weeks and just sits and plays or watches us cook and eat. It is on wheels which is nice too. It is not a space saver though, we have a big kitchen so it works for us.
we have this one too and love it! DD has been in it for many months now.
We have the Evenflo convertible high chair Dottie lime and I really like it. Can be used as its own chair and table as DD gets older. It is not for small spaces and for a 2 bed apartment, we have a freakishly large kitchen and dining area to accommodate it. I recommend If you have space to spare.

Our 4 month old has been sitting in her high chair reclined at the table for over 2 months for breakfast and supper. She doesn't use it to eat but rather to join us at the table and hopefully set to expectation that she sit at the table until mom and dad are finished eating. She loves it...she is at our level and can watch us (though she mainly works hard to such her thumb).
I'm not sure the real intent of having it recline but for us it works wonders to have her join us while we eat.

All of this. DD started using hers at 3 months. We like that she can join us during meal times and she likes to watch!
True, I forgot about that - I was more focused on the eating part. I've had friends try to tell me their infant (3-4 month old) eats solids because *see?!* my high chair is for babies to eat before they sit up, so they must need to.

Another vote for the Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster seat. I love it because it's cheap ($26 on amazon) and it attaches to a regular chair so it doesn't take up any additional space in our small kitchen. The tray is dishwasher safe also so that makes clean-up really easy.

We have the Stokke Tripp Trapp. It's not cheap, but it is supposed to last into adulthood because it converts from high chair to regular chair and holds up to 250 pounds. I like that it doesn't require a tray, so LO is eating right at the table with the grown ups.
This. We have one too but DS is 17 weeks and not 'quite' ready to use it, although he's getting pretty good at sitting he can't for more than about a minute on his own. We also love that it takes the place of a normal chair and will allow him eat at the table with us, without a tray, and will grow with him so will be 'his' place.
I have the stokke tripp trapp. Well, we have two actually, because each girl got one, but we'll be passing my older daughter's down to my son. At nearly 6 and just aboutt 4 my girls still use theirs, have since starting solids. It's pricey, but we got two additional adult chairs out of them as well for holidays and such (we put it in "adult configuration" and put the kids at a kid table) since they have a 300 lb weight limit. I love that they are real furniture, grow with the child, don't look ugly and take up very little space.
Many people express concern that there's no tray (although I believe you can buy one for it now) but to me meals are social occasions so I like my kids sitting with us at the table and never missed the tray. We're also tight on space so a big traditional high chair was not an option.
