Greek Yogurt

My DS is 15 months old.  Since he's been eating yogurt I have always giving him Chobani Champions.  Recently the stores where I live have quit carrying it in the cups and only carry strawberry in the tubes.  Just wondering what brand(s) of greek yogurt yall give your children.

Thanks!

Re: Greek Yogurt

  • I buy regular whole milk yogurt. I've never seen a full fat version of greek yogurt to be honest. And I've looked everywhere.

  • I have been dying to get a yogurt maker and get ahold of raw milk to make yogurt. Would be so much better!
  • We buy Astro plan greek yogourt. It's 10 percent.

  • Thanks everyone!  The only grocery stores we have around here to shop at are walmart and Bi-Lo.  I occasionally drive 45 mins to a place that has Harris Teeter.
  • Just make sure it's full fat yogurt. We get the YoBaby a lot, it's not Greek though.

The Chobani Champions is low fat or fat free.

  • I make my own now because I had a hard time finding full fat versions in the quantities that my son likes to eat. I bought a $39 yogurt maker and it's super easy to do-- and I am very lazy and not a cook. The yogurt comes out fantastic, too.

  • I get greek because he's not a be meat eater and it has more protein.  But I didn't realize I needed to get the full fat. Thanks!

    Sure :)

The fat in yogurt is great for brain development, so while low fat isn't harmful the full fat is an easy way to make sure they get enough throughout the day.

  • We buy the Stoneyfield plain whole milk yogurt. I mix it with applesauce or a little fruit puree.
