Calling in...

As a nurse I work every other weekend and I haven't called in once in the year I've been a nurse. Today I just said I can't do it! I can barely get my pants on I feel like I had a nesting spurt this morning and can't imagine taking care of people with serious conditions safely until 11 tonight. I was hoping not to have to do that since staffing sucks and I was probably the only nurse coming in at this time of day. I feel horrible knowing I'm just gonna be sitting with my feet up but I feel like f there ever was a day or time needing a day off today would be it! I learned the hard way that I can't do it all before worke like I could before!! Hope you ladies are having a good day!

Don't feel bad! I had to take one week off from school bc of the heat/swelling I'm a full time elementary teacher.

Thanks guys! I guess thinking of swelling and the dang humidity as reasons to call in seems so foreign to me, or would have before baby. Definitely glad I'm resting tho!
