Always on the weekend

Why do I always have boob issues on the weekend? Never during the week, always the weekend. I don't like being this miserable on the weekend when I'm having visitors and trying to spend time with family.

My left side has been horribly engorged since yesterday evening. It's to the point it hurts to move. I've been pumping every 3 hours and massaging while I pump. I tried to get LO to latch on that side when we were up at 3am but I was so full she could get a good latch, even with a nipple shield. And I'm not letting down like I normally do on that side so she was mad she wasn't getting as much milk.

No real point in the post, I just need to vent because I'm mad at my boob.

ETA: A hot shower is next on my list as soon as I get LO feed and asleep.

    My left boob has been acting up too. Must be the weather ;

  • Look to see if you have a milk blister!

    I thought I had another plugged duct and it wasn't getting better no matter how much heat, massage, and pumping i was doing. Finally I examined my nipple and there was a tiny white dot. When I got rid of it, out poured the milk and instant relief!!!
  • Are you exclusively pumping that u are pumping every three hours. I would pump less to help with engorgement. If you are trying to build up your supply maybe try Milkies my friend has one and swears by it. Every time you pump you are telling your body to make more milk. Maybe pump at the beginning of nursing just t soften and then latch lo. Just some thoughts.

    LOUD NOISES!
