No. It lays far enough back that baby doesn't need the top straps. By the time baby is big enough to start leaning forward a lot you probably won't use the swing much anyway.
I had the snuga bunny swing and absolutely loved it. I used the my little lamb at friends house and the 3point harness is ok. I much prefer the snugabunny by fisher price though. We used it until 8 mos.

This. Having had the snugabunny I'd stick with the five harness. Loved that swing... Miss that swing...
I have the same concern. My daughter picked one up used for her baby that she's expecting and after reading reviews of babies flipping out of it, I'm concerned about the safety of the 3-pt harness. I'm going to call FP to see if they offer a 5-pt harness that could be put on this. It hasn't been recalled so I'm not sure they'll have something like that, but figure it's worth a try.
Our almost 9 month old still naps in his swing sometimes (he is still under the weight limit for the swing). We have the snugabunny and with the 5 point it is the only way I would use it now. We visited my inlaws this weekend and they borrowed the lamb swing from their neighbor and we couldn't use it since it didn't have the shoulder straps. So it just depends on how long you will use it!
Loved te swing part but HATED that it didn't plug into the wall. We sold puts and plan to borrow my sisters aungabunny one for the next one since it doesn't have to run off batteries which got expensive!
