Question about mucus plug

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I lost some of my mucus plug last night. I had an OB appt on Wednesday and she checked my cervixwhich was completely closed. I had sex last night and afterwards some of the plug came out. I'm trying not to worry because I know it's not a good indicator of labor. With my DD I lost it and had to be induced almost 2 weeks later. But could the internal and sex possibly have dislodged it?? Here's hoping this LO stays put for another 5 weeks!

    I've been loosing mine since week 31 I'm now 39 weeks, it just indicates your cervix is preparing. I've also been dilated 3 cm and 60 thinned out for over a month ;

    Yes, internals can dislodge mucus plugs. Whenever I have internals I also tend to get a big glob out. Even at 33 weeks when they checked me for progress due to contractions, I was soft but closed, I still had a huge chunk come out.

    I wouldn't worry about it.
