ktan or sling?

hey everyone! i had been planning on getting ktan based on reviews i saw and that it seemed to be much more user-friendly than the moby or the wraps with all the extra fabric. i've been doing some research and wondering if a sling would be better. is it more versatile than a ktan wrap....in terms of bf-ing while wearing? i don't know if you can do that while wearing a ktan.

what are you thoughts? for those of you who have used a ktan....what did you like about it and do you like it better than a sling? for those of you who have used slings, what do you like about it and which sling do you recommend? i was worried about baby safety with a sling. thanks!

    I liked my k'tan, but got it handed down-I wouldn't have bought it. For me, it wasn't as snug or versatile as the moby (though it sure was easier). And I preferred my ring sling for ease of in and out and nursing coverage. Slings are quite safe when the directions are followed, and its pretty intuitive, I had no problem figuring it out. I have a Maya wrap ring sling (loved it for the nb stage, but its very thick and warm for summer) and a hotslings pouch. I would recommend a lightweight ring sling-by the time LO is too heavy for the front carry you can use it for hip carry. I prefer the ring sling to the pouch because you can adjust it for a very snug fit instead of having to try and buy the perfect size.

    Ring sling. The ktan is hot and outgrown quickly.
