Two children that didn't want to latch!!!

Hi! I'm a mother of two babies. My husband and I are thinking about trying to conceive, and I really want to be able to breastfeed this time!

Did anyone else have the problem of a child not wanting to latch?

Does anyone know what can help the next baby latch if the same problem were to arise?

    I would find an LC before the next baby arrives and have the phone number to make an appointment if you are having latching difficulties. 

     Usually there is a cause beyond "not wanting" to latch. Hopefully with support you can figure it out. Maybe it's a tongue tie, anatomy mismatch (size of nipples vs. size of baby's mouth), reflux, fast letdown, weak sucking pattern, etc.

    DS1 had a terrible latch that we could not correct. He hated to nurse so we ended up bottle feeding. DS2 nursed perfectly from day one and had a great latch from feeding number one. Every baby is different.
