6lb weight gain in 1 week. Normal?

No protein in my urine, BP good, some swelling/cankles but it's damn hot here.  First stretch marks appeared yesterday (I know I'm lucky).  

Anyone else had weight gain like this towards the end?  I know sudden weight gain and swelling can be signs of pre-e, but I have no other sx.

Dx: balanced translocation and LPD

TTC since Oct 2011

BPF 02/19/12, EDD 10/31/12, natural m/c 02/28/12 (4w6d)

IVF (BCPs starting 10/30/12, ER 11/18/12, 5dt of 1 beautiful, healthy embryo 11/23/12)
BFP 12/02/12, u/s @ 6w,5d showed 2 HBs! Identical twins!!
Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)

    At 34 weeks this sounds totally normal. You can have major gaining OR a sudden stop in gaining and everything can be fine. If you were having just one, you probably wouldn't bat an eye if you gained 3lbs in a week. Keep in mind that twin pregnancies can be crazy in some aspects! If your OB is okay with, I'd be fine.

    Thanks.  I was more surprised than alarmed until I mentioned it to a friend who said that it seemed like a lot.

    Im assuming from the pp that the end of your title says in 1 week? Im mobile bumping so it doesnt all come up. With my last singleton pregnancy, I gained 7 lbs in 1 week. No pree or anything, just water and swelling. After that, I gained just 3 more lbs for a total of 23 when I went into labor 10 days before my DD. If youre keeping up with your water, its probably a lot of that and the swelling that comes toward the end of pregnancy.

    I gained 17 lbs in 11 days, but it was winter and I did have signs of preeclampsia. I'd say its not too bad, considering it's July.

If youre keeping up with your water, its probably a lot of that and the swelling that comes toward the end of pregnancy.

    Yes, in 1 wk :). I'm almost 35w now.

    I'm in the same boat.  I'm up at least 10 pounds in 2 weeks, but I have pretty good swelling in my legs/feet and hands now.  I'm on procardia to due to PTL, and my B/P is still borderline at times.  I already have low platelets so the doctor is concerned I could be heading toward Pre-E but not know it yet.  I think as long as you don't have protein in your urine and your B/P is okay then you are fine.  Swelling is not fun, but hard to avoid at the end of pregnancy especially in the summertime!

    I had the exact same thing happen to me this week and I'm also at 35wks.
